How to get Viking Heliskiing

Located in the small historic village of north Iceland, Siglufjörður, we couldn’t ask for a better place to run our Viking Heliskiing operation. And because Iceland lies between North America and Europe, it is a great place to come for vacation and not travel for hours between places. The average flight times are around 3-4 hours from most Western European cities. It takes about 5-7 hours from North America. Please, see all airlines flying directly to Iceland from Europe and North America HERE.

Once you arrive at the Keflavík international airport, you must get to Reykjavík city (approximately 45 minutes). You can choose to get to Reykjavík via bus or taxi. Everything is available and easy to book at the Keflavík International airport.

From Reykjavík domestic airport, book a flight to Akureyri (a 35-minute flight). You can book the flight via Icelandair.

Our staff will welcome you at the arrivals lounge at the Akureyri airport and transfer you to the Sigló Hotel in Siglufjörður in approximately one hour. While driving to Siglufjörður, you can watch the one and only Icelandic nature and the longest fjörð in Iceland – Eyjafjörður.
If requested in advance, you also have the option to be picked up by helicopter at the Akureyri airport for the 20-minute flight to Siglufjörður.

Another possible option is to rent a car at the Keflavik International airport and drive to the hotel of your stay – Sigló Hotel. This spectacular drive with incredible natural surroundings takes approximately 5 hours.
