At Viking Heliskiing, we specialize in unique heliskiing/heliboarding moments in the northern part of Iceland – the Troll Peninsula. Having our Viking Heliskiing headquarters in Siglufjörður offers our guests the opportunity to explore this unbelievable terrain. Troll Peninsula is every skier/snowboarder’s dream, with thousands of slopes waiting for their first descents. The location in the heart of the skiing area is the key to fast and easy access to the mountains. And together with our professional and most skilled crew, you will never forget your holidays in the north of Iceland.
Friends since childhood, Björgvin Björgvinsson and Jóhann Haukur Hafstein founded Viking Heliskiing in 2013. Both are former alpine skiing Olympians who competed at the highest level worldwide. Björgvin is one of the best Icelandic skiers in history and holds the record for most national championship titles. They know the Troll Peninsula the most, and our team of guides takes our guests to the best terrain possible while ensuring that everyone is 100% safe because safety is our top priority.
Viking Heliskiing wouldn’t be as good without its people and partners. When choosing our guides, pilots, ground crew and office crew, their experience, education, skills, and personality come first. We take the best care of our guests before their stay, during their stay, and after they go back home. They are pampering everything to the last detail for everybody’s joy.
All guides and pilots know Troll Peninsula terrain to the last detail. That allows us to choose safe and fun terrain for each day. Our pilots safely and steadily access and land on top of the best lines. Can you imagine skiing down the mountain or seeing the helicopter sitting on the ocean side, knowing you are going back up there again? That’s why we love what we do.
The Sigló Hotel strives to offer guests a relaxing environment with a classic and romantic design. Each room has a view over the beautiful Icelandic mountains and the sea. With a sauna, hot tub and delicious food, Sigló Hotel gives each of our guests the right amount of cosy stay.
If a down day appears, plenty of adventurous activities are s ready. Our guests can always choose horseback riding, whale watching, or visiting some of Iceland’s nature baths, such as Forest Lagoon. Some guests prefer to go scuba diving, surfing or visit the beer spa called Bjórböðin. The north of Iceland has plenty to show and offer.
Join us for your dream holiday, we cannot wait to show you around.
