HÖFÐI LODGE – OPENING 2024

Björgvin Björgvinsson and Jóhann Haukur Hafstein, the owners of Viking Heliskiing and Scandic Mountain Guides, together with an international investor group as co-owner, have announced their plans to build a unique luxury lodge – Höfði Lodge, situated on the beautiful cliffs at the end of Eyjafjörður right next to the town of Grenivík in the northern region of Iceland.

LUXURY AND ADVENTURE

Höfði Lodge will be a 5500 square meters building offering 40 luxurious rooms, of which 4 are suites, as well as a restaurant, spa and wellness facilities along with other facilities such as lounge areas, bar, meeting and conference rooms. Special emphasis will be placed on recreational tourism, and adventure guests can enjoy, including heliskiing, ski touring, mountaineering, biking, snowmobiling, hiking, whale watching, horseback riding, hunting and fly-fishing trips.

LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS

Höfði Lodge’s surroundings are fairy-tale-like. The lodge is situated on a 50-meter-high cliff called Þengilhofdi, offering spectacular scenery with unobstructed ocean views overlooking the mountains on Látraströnd and Troll Peninsula.
The lodge is only a 25-minute car ride from Akureyri, the largest town in Iceland´s northern region. It will be a valuable addition to the already thriving tourism sector in the region.
