Located right across the street from the Sigló Hotel. the K2 Ski Barn is where your adventure begins. This is the heart of our operation — home to our guides’ office and the place where you’ll gear up before heading into the mountains.
Our expert guides will personally assist you in selecting the perfect skis or snowboard to match your skill level and the day’s conditions. We proudly partner with K2, one of the most respected names in skiing and snowboarding. K2 has been with Viking Heliskiing from the very beginning — a loyal partner in delivering high-performance gear for our guests. Each season, we receive a brand-new fleet of K2 skis and snowboards to ensure top-level performance, safety, and enjoyment.
Inside the K2 Ski Barn, you’ll find a wide range of skis and boards to suit all styles and abilities. Ski poles are included, and helmets are available upon request.
Your package also includes the full BCA (Backcountry Access) avalanche safety kit — including transceiver, probe, shovel, and airbag. BCA, like K2, has been a trusted part of our journey from day one, and we rely on their cutting-edge gear to help keep our guests safe.

The Mindbender 116C is a powder ski built for those epic days everyone dreams of. Outfitted with a generous 116mm waist, the 116C floats through powder and powers through chop.

Targeted to please the advanced to expert level snowboarder, the Alchemist is packed with functional technology. This snowboard features two unique technologies from the K2 camp; the SpaceGlass™ tip insert and the patented Spectral Braid. SpaceGlass™ is a pre-cured fiberglass insert that helps reduce weight, reduce chatter, and increase edge pressure. Spectral Braid is a technology that allows us to adjust tip-to-tail stiffness independently from the torsional stiffness. This lets us make a torsionally stiffer snowboard in the tip and tail to promote edge hold while keeping it more relaxed between the feet to allow for easy turn initiation.
